I know this scene is kinda cliche' , but I thought I would post it to see
what kind of response I get.

I did use a Galaxy include file, and the tie fighters and star destroyer I
got from the web. I wish I could remember the authors names to give them
credit.

I'm still just learning and was just playing around and I got the attached
image, which I'm kinda proud of. I hope to be able to do orginal models and
such in the future though.

Look's OK for a newbie. Keep in mind though not to use the anti-aliasing
feature when using Galaxy.inc's galaxy.bg.

The stars don't look so good when using AA. Just try it and watch the
difference.

The extreme contrast and bright colors makes it look like an animation cell or
something...

For future reference, could you please not post such high-resolution images?
Some of us here don't have monitors that can display images that big.

I thought the models looked a lot better with anti-aliasing on. I forgot to
mention in the original post that I finished this image in photoshop
adjusting the light levels and running the sharpen filter, and motion blur
filter. I've since regretted doing so. In hindsight I like the image much
better straight from POV. Even though my lighting skills need work. I did
just finish the lights section in the POVmanual, so I think I have a much
better grasp on lighting a scene.
