No, it's not. I just have to find out about these things before I can fix

Didn't a virus-containing message stay on the server for like 6 months?

Yes. It was never brought to the administrator's attention until I saw it
in my decoded binaries folder and went looking for the source. Actually,
there was more than one such message.
