This is my first try at posting to a news group.

   This is a object I first drew in 1985, and decided to put in povray
when I found the sketch recently.

   I enjoy the chance to see the work and ideas of the others here, and
just wanted to share something I've tried.

I guess that's all mirrored for the surrounding lace-boxes.

Great modeling.  Quite an original shape, but concerning future posts, try
keeping the file-size low...300KB is quite a bit:(

Welcome to the group and congradulations on a real good looking
first post image.

224 K is a bit excessive, I saved it with a bit of compression 
and got it down to 50 K without noticing much difference.

Welcome! Interesting object... I wonder if holes in the faces are perfect
octagons?
For future reference, try to keep the files smaller. And if 100k is too lossy,
get yourself a decent compressor. :)
