The worst possible kind, selected for weather-immunity and
availability rather than for fine grain or hardness. It's
pressure-treated pine, left over from a couple years ago when
I built a fence in the back yard. Needless to say, I used
power tools to do the carving (thus the large number of
mostly-straight lines.)
