this shows a possible bug in the render menu for povray 3.6 final
(version 3.6.0.icl8.win32)

in the render menu it says "Select Plain Background " where the
documentation says it should say " Render Priority "
this does not match the documentation.

running on win98se
amd K6-II 400mhz 256mb ram.

Richard.

Richard, here is a screenshot from my downloaded copy of
3.6.0.icl8.win32. I'm unable to duplicate your observations on PII
450mhz 512mb RAM.

Not seeing that menu incorrectly in WinXP. Was your "final" version
downloaded after 9:00 GMT? I only ask because of troubles with the upload
yesterday that weren't solved until around that time.

By the way, I'm running Windows 98.

Have you tried closing POV-Ray, then re-starting Windows to see if
that makes any difference?

Strange. From programmer point of view "Render Priority" is a submenu which
has no ID specified while "Select Plain Background" is simple menuitem. I do
not know internal representation of menu handling but I do not think design is
so much broken that submenus could automagically take ID of existing menu. All
I can suggest is to make a serious test of integrity of your hardware. Is hot
there where you are ?
