Observe for yourself with attached file.
This does not go away with logical pattern, yet manifests sometimes, and
then not. It changes position and size with resolution.

I think I just might be irritated.

Ideas?

ian

Uh, where's the artifact? What exactly are we looking for?

The stripe near the middle isn't always there, shows up other places, and
isn't supposed to do either.

This has happened with two other test scenes using glows.
I'm betting on one/more of a few things:
1) My computer is jerking me around: be afraid
2) MegaPov doesn't like me anymore and needs a reinstall
3) Windows is molesting either of the above items.

Thanks for your assistance. :-)

Post the code to one of the scene-file groups so that we can see if
it can be reproduced/tested.

Well, it seems to be gone now.
I'm not completely sure if this is related...but my computer was running
really hot and crashing, due to the fact the fan is dying and its sitting on
carpet and the case design has allowed the bottom vent to become mostly
covered..(crackheaded design...)

I elevated it and the crashing stopped, so did the artifacts. I dunno wtf
was up with that. It did it on different scenes so its not related to the
specific code I think.

We'll try posting code if it starts its bs again.

thanks, ian

It looks like that section of the scene was over the part of your computer that
was overheating, and with the default thermal emissivity, was lighting up . . .
