Heavy machine gun that will be mounted on a ship. Little GITS-2 based.

Part of animation project that I do now (with friend)

Hmm no comments - image is not interesting at all?

It's a early WIP ofcourse.

Or perhaps there was problem with attachment encoding again?

Encoding was fine.

I like the "flash." How did you do that? And how will you animate it?

Is it supposed to be one of those last ditch guns for knocking down
inbound missiles and the barrels are only meant to last for a single use?

A gun like that would eject a LOT of shell casings, right?

Nice job on the muzzle flashes. I always imagined those things would be
loud and fiery.

Hi:

Probably it is not true for every one, but I am very fond of military
hardware topics. I can see, that the modeling is probably done in CSG,
right? Have you ever tried Wings3D? It would be much easier to make some
parts in Wings. Anyways, nice modeling so far. Are you going to make some
smoke or show spent cartridge cases littering the gun base? I really like
the muzzle blast effect, how did you obtain such dramatic effect?
Also I think that darkening the whole scene a bit and increasing, at the
same time, that orange/reddish lighting from the muzzle blast, would add
some dramatic effect to the whole scene. Of course it is worth to try once
the whole project is ready, so as not to show the whole machinery in detail.

I am looking forward for the next progress pics

I like the flash, but I really dislike the shape of the gun...

I also think that the flash has some potential (does it look good from
all angles or is it a "fake" flahs) but the gun looks like abything but
a gun :) The textures are not quite there and the shape is odd. What the
heck is that container above the turret?

Would that be the gun or the newsgroup post? ;-)
