It's probably best qulity You can get with just 1600 radiosity samples.

The very blury view is a back wall of a box with a hole.
Box with a hole actes like very primitive camera.

Size of hole, size of box - sets the brightness/focal-blur.

It's impossible to lower focal-blur (much) because then radiosity quality
will drop (most of 1600 rays will not be able to find way out of box).

Render time (for inside view) was AFAIR about 24-48h on Athlon 2GHz

In inner view,
the green spots in top of picture is grass (image is reversed upsied-down),
the yelow spots is an yeloow test-object, etc.

Sorry for terrible strong focal blur, maybe with patched version of POV i'l
try to re-rendre it with higher quality and be able to decrease DOF.

Ah... The camera obscura.

I was wondering what the subject meant.

Cunning.

I've never thought of trying that particular trick myself.

Jamie.

Heh, cool. What effect does moving the camera closer/further away have on the
sharpness of the image? Don't know if this would help on the focal blur front,
probably not.

Ryan
