red line has tcb (tension, continuity and bias) parameters set constant for
whole spline while black spline has the same control points with different tcb
parameters for incoming and outgoing tangent vectors. additional control points
before and after spline required to control first and last segment.

More power to splines.  Is this going to be in the MegaPOV source?  :o)
Chris Colefax's old spline macro has it in SDL.

Maybe. Who knows... Since x_spline is as powerfull as is who need tcb... ;-)

Yes. But as I studied his macro I did not noticed separated control of all
parameters on both sides of each control point.
