You know, you can "cancel" posts even with OE ?
Welcome here, man.

but thats probably the fault of my monitor-gamma ;)

Thanks, but it is intended to be dark.
when you play with he image gamma, adjust it so that the contour of the
bottom lefthand side sphere is on the edge of being invisible.

You know, only those people who coinsidently sits in a totally dark room,
will be able to see it? I sometimes do that, but sometimes it's sunny
outside (seldom, but...) and I allow the sun go right into the screen, just
for having a brighter day.

Click on the message (only your own messages can be cancelled). Go to menu:
"message" and click "Cancel message" and that's all.. But you won't notice
anything happened, because your computer already downloaded the message and
keeps it into a cache. So it seems it's still there, though it's not on the
PovRay server anymore.

Hugo

Is this output directly from Pov-Ray? If so, how did you accomplish this?

Not in totally dark, but yes, a monitor contrast range is already small
and in a bright room nothing is left.
But should that limit you in your art-work?

Yes, it uses radiosity, photons and extreme focal blurr settings:
very large aperture, blur_samples 5, variance 1

No, you're right.. The monitors and the enviroment in which we put them are
the problem.. So I guess the question is, wether an artist focus on his
product, or the audience who is going to "experience" it.. I guess,
personally I try to share my attention 50% each, though it is not a rule
without exception.
Btw, now it's dark here and I can see your image. :o) It's a nice and
special flower.. The shape is subtle (perhaps too grainy but..) ... but it's
artwork..

Hugo
