Here's a robot I'm working on, modelled in Moray and rendered with MegaPov
using default radiosity settings. I'm going to make the "cranium" glass
with a brain inside, and the eyes will be "human" eyes. As you can
probably tell, my knowledge of lighting is extremely limited... Any tips?

Very nice indeedly.

If you intend it to walk I suggest you divide the feet up somehow. And
maybe dirty the textures up a bit? And have the eyes on extendible stalks?
(Or maybe not.)

Gives me the incentive to finally finish off my robot. (Er, after I've
finished watching the telly for a bit. And had a cup of tea. And, er...)

Looking forward to see how you progress this one.

I hate when programs crash, and I have to write things all over again,
well here it is again

The problem with highly reflective surfaces is that they don't look like
anything unless they have something to reflect. Here
is the same object both alone, and with an imagemap out of veiw of the
camera.

My uncle used to design robots for a living, and they are really
facinating to look at. I suggest you try to find pictures of
real life robots for inspiration.

This message was better the first time. This is my fourth attempt at
sending it.
