Don't really know how to finish this one off. Any suggestions? (I know how
to use Poser models now!)

strip? I know v3.5 now has a parametric isosurface function that I could
use, but it's ssslllooowww at the moment and the strip I require needs to
have a bit of thickness to it - like a strip of road, rather than a strip of
paper. Thanks.

Alan.

Different background and add some dirt
(perhaps a night scene with some lamposts and some buildings in the rear.

have macros and include files to help you with that).

A great place to learn povray with a lot of examples and source (a must).

Hope this helps.

Very nice image. (very Gilles Trans-esque) For a mobius, with some work,
you may be able to create one with a macro and meshes.

I have started writing a mobius mesh2 macro which you can try out. I will
post version 1 in p.t.s-f for you. At present, it has no thickness an does
not have smoothing normals added.
Please give it a try and let me know what you think and if you have any
suggestions or questions

You can make one out of bezier patches using something like HamaPatch...
It's not too tricky. I'll have a go and let you nkow if I get a result.

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

Or maybe I'll let you *know* <sigh>

Bye for now,

OK, attached should be an image of a Moebius strip I knocked together in
HamaPatch and Moray. Hamapatch for the modelling, and Moray for the
scene layout and textures. OK, so jpeg mangled it a bit, but at least
it's small :)

Let me know if you want the .hmp file for it. (assuming that you're a)
using Windows, and b) have downloaded HamaPatch)

Bye for now,
     Jamie.
