Here is a city made with an adaptation of PeterC's code to duplicate the
cells pattern.

Rendering took 13 h, with radiosity on.

A city or a stack of sugar wafers?

If it's a city it's of course futuristic, with the monotonous pattern and blocks
floating in the air.
Gives a nice impression.

Mmm....looks munchy-good. Me likes.

Being pathologically obsessed with weird, random placement images as I
(practically) am, may I view the source? :-P

        I'm not worthy. :)
Actually; since I wrote that code, I've since found out
that Gilles Trans previously used that method in his grass
macro, way before I thought of it.

13 hours? Do you really need radiosity that badly?
You mention a cells pattern. Does that mean you are using
an iso-surface. Would a mesh render faster?? I don't use
megapov so I don't know is an iso-surface is faster or
slower.

>A city or a stack of sugar wafers?

Did you mean for some of the buildings to be
floating?
