Very nice. Reminds me of a desing project I had to do several years ago
involving just letters, so the tree wouldn't have worked, but it is a
very nicely designed piece. Is this for any purpose or just for fun?

X is a good letter for this because it has "platforms" on both sides and
straight lines that look like beams.
I see there are some leaves floating in midair...
(I am replying to the reply instead of the post itself because my
connection is sh*ttier than usual and I can't get the whole thing)

I suppose since it's almost entirely red it compresses much better in
GIF than in JPEG.

Radiosity. Every X is two X's. A normal one in red with some ambient and
diffuse 1. These give the red light. The second X is the same font but bold
and filled with pink emitting media.
The wall behind the letters has a diffuse value of 5 and ambient 0, this
makes the red light "visible"
>(And why gif?)
JPEG, makes it all fuzzy :(
(Fullcolour) PNG is to big and not liked by everybody.
GIF, did not lose quality since there allready are few colours.

Yep, my inexperience with the TomTree.
But I plan to use it and add more falling leaves.
And maybe some rain.
And a woman with a raincoat and a borsalino leaning against the wall, her
face lit by the light of a cigarette, a brown paper bag with a bottle of
Jack Daniels in her other hand.
And some blue light of the police car driving by to the rescue of her
latest victim.
And a dwarf playing accordeon.
And Tom Waits sitting in the gutter, writing a song about it.
And a dog....
sorry, got carried away

Awesome silhouette.
Here in the Pacific Northwest it is winter.
I would guess that in your part of the
world it would be fall.
