I am hoping this will become a fair representation of a glass I own.
The glass shape is close enough, and the image_map is a *.png.
Since I now own a 4k monitor most of my images will end up bigger ;-)

Comments welcome:

May I now deduce which part of the UK you are from?

Nova Scotia, hmm.

I've seen a few of those, in my time. The gilt was generally weathered
with use. ;)

Nice modelling. Have you rendered it with photons for caustics?

Some weathering, but most of it's life in a china cabinet.

I have less photons in an earlier image, but can see more affect.

There is a missing banner under the crest, with "Nova Scotia" in it.
I could not find a full picture of what I want. I may have to model some
of it.

Beautiful work.

It *might* benefit from some focal blur, but it's quite nice as-is.

A 4K monitor? You lucky dog. Now you can fit an entire LONG scene file on the
screen! ;-)

I'm saving up for an 8K HDR monitor. (Yeah, right.)

Focal blur may show up near the end. I'm still working on geometry.

I've had the money set aside for nearly 2 years. Theirs always some
sale/new feature on somewhere.

How did you apply the png?
I think it is interfering with the glass. I have had that happen to me
in the distant past. The clear/lighter area below the shield is a clue,
I think.
I am not sure if I resolved it.
