apparently there isn't one ... just pulled (only a little) one of the
control rods on the reactor.

Wooow!

could you just top the exit of the smoke/steam with some
recorder/whistle: not for the sound, but to justify the visual split in
3 of the stream (which is just perfect). So far it's look like an open
pipe, and there is no reason for such steam out of an open pipe.

Next slow down: area light to soften the shadow on the grey wall. :-)

AOI is doing very fine on this machine.

Steam is just a 1st stab at something at something coming out the
exhaust pipe ... according to the description it could be either steam
or a flame. Leaning towards steam, but hey that could change.

made a 1st pass try with area lighting but the scattering media in steam
slowed it waaaaay down. thinking about a slightly reflective backdrop to
try to get a view of the back of the machine.

actually I used irid ... played around with wave length in globals, then
thickness in the finish side. i /really/ like irid on metal finishes

after running for a couple of days, everything green turned blue, then
the exhaust changed to a more dense fog-like substance that sank to the
floor

Great image, I like this machine.

Thanks ... I like this set up too, but I think I can do better with the
ground fog. Scattering media /should/ yield better results over fog ...
it's just tedious getting it right.

I like it, except the exhaust which somehow does not seem right to my
eyes. A somewhat stronger scattering media would do the trick I presume.

still need to do a "beauty" run ... but I /do/ like this setup better!
