Thank you Paolo. Yes, maybe Gwaihir, although I don't believe that was a 
'bald' eagle... ;-)

It is very different from Terragen indeed, but certainly extremely 
simple to use. One of its main assets is that it enables you to work 
with 'layers', i.e. different separate terrains which can then be 
averaged, added, multiplied, etc. Also the large sizes to be used is 
good. Up to 4096x4096. The present image is based on a 1024x1024 tga 
height_field map.

I hate to say it bit I prefer the mist in the first image.
The texture of the eagle is better in the second one and your other 
things have been designed intelligently to evolve good camouflage. ;-)

Yes, the original eagle wings were wrongly textured by Poser, so I had 
to go back to nature. Still have to do something about the tail.
