Hmmm... I may understand your question better. Look in
povray.binaries.tutorials.

Maybe I should have uploaded to povray.text.tutorials?

I can see it using the web interface but my copy of Thunderbird shows
nothing later than TerraPOV - Sky system - Atmosphere posted in 2009.

I am having so much trouble with Thunderbird I might just pay real money
for a newsreader. Euch!

How strange! So, no mention of Clipka's "Check(er) your Gamma" and
"POV-Ray Voodoo #511" both 2009, SharkD's "Render for polarized
glasses"(2010), and Danshoe's "Shoemaster Creative" query (2010)?

I am not good enough at this to give you my learned opinion I am afraid :-(

Hm... strange thing - same problem here. (Except that the "TerraPOV -
Sky system - Atmosphere" from 2009 was not the latest message, but only
the thread with the latest reply.)

I also had two messages from 1970, that had expired.

In case you ever run into this problem again (I did with p.b.utilities):
On the "properties" page of the newsgroup, there's a button promising to
repair the "*.msf" file. That seems to do the job as well.
