  The HDR image could have a significantly higher resolution, though,
because the pixelation is a bit annoying.

Yeah, but that's just a question of the HDR image selection, really, the 
'art' that I'm impressed by is in the room/on the table.
But I don't disagree with the light probe critique.

I could have used some focal blur to hide the pixelisation, but then, 
the render time would have been prohibitive considering my aging computer.
