The source is now posted in povray.binaries.images.  It is now freeware, 
open source etc.  The source is a Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 project, and the 
code, while it does what I want, is definitely not the most elegant, and 
lacks anything resembling good comments.  Best of luck in doing something 
with it.......
