Thank you, Bill.

Spot on!! The scene *was* inspired by "Ilium" and "Olympos" indeed. It seems
that I have got the evocation right :-)

I agree. Like several of my figures, he is likely to come back one way or
another. However, the modelling of the panoplia was an interesting exercise
in itself too (still not entirely finished) which stretched my Poser
possibilities to their limits. I need to model better sandals, using
conforming clothes strategies instead of dynamic ones like I prefer. That
means a more serious incursion into Poser's Setup Room.

Thank you, Kenneth. I have a preference for those ratios....:-)

Well, hoplite is not a word we tend tu use every day ;-) I like to increase
my knowledge through renders as a pretext, or inversely to apply my
knowledge to renders. In both cases there is always some research to do
which is highly stimulating.

I am not much of an *inventor* myself, so I am always glad to use the smart
macros others have wrought. Your textured fog is a particularly nice
addition to the collection indeed. Only the figure does not participate in
its use because otherwise the washed out effect was too great.

I am not feeling enough incentive to wait for a larger render :-/ but that
may change if a go through a period of lesser productivity.

I agree. Be certain that I shall have him come back! ;-)

Dead right - the connection popped into my head as soon as I saw the image. I
just thought it was too great a coincidence that you produced this image just as
I happened to be reading that book!

Now, how about some moravecs and "gods" ? :D

(in a new setting, obviously, I wouldn't want you to clutter this lovely
atmospheric image:)

It is an idea I shall keep in mind :-)

And Mars has been terraformed, so even my image is not absolutely correct...
;-)
