Perhaps a very minor thing but here's the ugly P-R 3.6 icon.
Maybe this has long since been ignored. Either that or I'm the only person
seeing this. Anyway, posting this because I think there needs to be a
changed icon when 3.7 is finalized since there could be confusion about
which is which if both are installed.
Leaving this ugly 3.6 icon as-is helps me know which to click on but maybe
it shouldn't have the gray and black jaggy encircling it, should it...? I
never paid much attention to it until all my other icons were getting clean
appearances.
Note that this is more about the old 3.6 icon, not the beta... well, maybe
it is about the similarity of the two also.
Thanks for looking.

Now that you mention this... I had not really noticed. However, I agree with
you that 3.7 should have a different icon. Only a color difference would be
enough.

Oh thank you !!!
Now I know why I wasn't sleeping well for the 6 or 7 past years.
I was an innocent victim of TUPRYLS (The Ugly PovRaY Logo Syndrom) ;-).
Marc (goes to bed, CU in a few months)
P.S. BTW I agree with TdG : a different color would be enough together with
an enhanced transparency mask

Heh-heh. Sleep well.

Don't know why it wasn't changed already, but then maybe this was discussed
before and the majority of people thought the new 3.7 would be replacing 3.6
so no need for different icons. 3.7 not being done yet could be a reason,
too.
I was thinking this might stir up some renewed discussion of it. Still only
a very minor concern to me, but I know others keep more than one version
installed at any one time and running POV from the icons as they are now
could prove hit and miss. Esp. about the soon ready version 3.6.2 with
identical icon to 3.7 beta.

I think that changing the icon is very secondary, even terciary, in the
devlopment cycle.
Very easy to change the colour. 64x64 in green.
