Sorry, I can't help getting inspired by everything I see lately: it's
strange how inspiration works...
This time, inspiration comes from an old B&W photo of a Pulitzer winner
sitting at his "writing corner". The typewriter is of course my old CSG
typewriter. The books and shelves are also old models reused, as well as the
water glass. The old radio was created just for this scene with Wings3d. The
rest of the room and furniture is from Chief Architect.
Next step is to model a classical pipe and place it somewhere... any other
suggestions?

All I can say is that I wouldn't mind seeing another _photo_ with the lamp
at a more traditional point of interest, a little bit down and slightly to
the left.

I agree with Thomas for a cat but the cat just under the light.
Cats love writers, the high and the heat.
Did you have a macro for the gradient angle of the books ?
(I hope, you will understand)

Very nice, although the decoration and preferred color
scheme does not convince me he would embrace art deco lamps
in poisonous green. Must have been a christmas present ;)

Curiously, I started with the light there, but it was temporary, because I
wanted to replicate the situation on the inspirational photo: there is
little space and the lamp has to be on top of the radio, but seems logical
for the writer to want the light to be somewhat higher for better typing.

Yeah, but I don't love cats... :) ...anyhow, it's a nice idea, but I don't
have any cat model around, and organic modeling is not my best (in fact
I'm really bad at it).

Well, fortunately my work is not really boring most of the time, but it's
work, be it fun or boring... so, yes, I think it was too much working and
little playing what forced the inspiration to come back again.
