Well yeah, but it is a popular nickname for the beetle. Ever play punch

I don't think so; the classic Volkswagen after which the "New Beetle" is shaped
(though currently nasty cold) country since no-one knows - which can be
translated as "bug" just about as well as "beetle".

There was a short discussion about "the punch buggy game" in OT early last year
(XKCD solves my life). That's what made me think that it's an American thing to
call the beetle a bug.
BTW when speaking English would a German speaker call a VW beetle a bug?

It looks like the surfaces try hard to be chromed, but they fail
because they lack reflection...
