Yes, sure, it's basically this for the 'flakes' inside the stone:

Nice box. The hinges should be covered from the inside and spring loaded. I work
in that domain, and have never seen any jewl box where the hinges are visible
from that point of view.

have a ring like that, but most designs would have a curved setting to fit
the finger. Did it not have this curve?

Yes I believe so but it is more than 20 years ago. And I never wore it so I
can't swear to it.
