Hey all. This is my 2nd image and I'm pleased with the progress I'm making.
This is nothing fancy, just a couple of bizarre objects floating around,
but I like how it turned out. Especially the reflections off the glass
things.

Let me know what you think, especially things I could do better. I'm
inexperienced so I don't quite know what pitfalls to look out for.

Thanks,

Nexus

Nice, I want to see a cyclic animation with everything rotating,
please.

Are you using "looks_like" light sources for the glowing balls, or just high
ambience? Either way it looks good.

It looks very good. Are the twisty glass objects sphere-sweeps, isosurfaces,
or what? They do indeed look nice with all the reflections.

I think the background is not quite right- the texture seems too "simple"
for the scene, or wrong somehow. I don't really know what to suggest
instead, though. (I am not that experienced either.) Would it be very
difficult to put the object in a simple landscape or room? I think that
might look very good.

Well, it's certainly interesting! (More than can be said for most of the
things *I* do, sadly.)

The glowing balls are emissive media with light sources in the middle.

What I did was create a single hook object using sphere-sweep. I then merged
two of them together to get the twisty glass things. The single hook was
also used to create the hooks on the bronze triangular things.
