Hi all,
I thought since I've been stalking this news-server off and on for
years, I might as well post something.

I started this image with the idea making something similar to an image
I saw here labeled as Villarceau circles, though my rendition is not
mathematical. This was a first shot at photons for me. I don't think
they turned out too bad. I feel like the focal blur divides the image in
half though.

Hi nice concept - I like the image but for me too much focul blur. I like
using blur myself, but sometimes it actually makes it very difficult for
your eyes to see what's going on. This is tricky with you image especially
with the large space in the middle. Maybe reduce the blur a little or move
the camera back slightly so it's not so in your face!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely be trying this one again
without so much focal blur. The tight framing of the scene was
deliberate though. I was trying to put emphasis on the object without
making it really feel too much like an object just sitting on a plane.
Maybe it's just me, but I really like it that way.

I like the framing also. And the blur - just not quite *so* much of it. ;-)

Nice image.
