This is in Pov? Very neat :)

Only, IMHO, the neck/head is wrong - it look like a snake

With the speed (s)he is running, there should probably be some motion
blur on the legs/feet and maybe the tail. You could possibly reduce
the motion blur in the background just a bit.

Looks nice so far.

How was the cat created? Is it a mesh or (*gulp*) CSG?

     Thanks.

The 'face' of the head is wrong, (which I know about), but the neck is
right, and I don't see any snake there. ;)

Yeah, good thought about the gender. From my reference image I would
say that it's a male cheetah, but I guess it's hard to convey this in a CG
image.

Now that's a good idea, thanks. I'll have a play.

Well, I'm trying to capture one of those high-speed camera images that
you often see on TV. The background is a played-around with image-map.

     Thank you. :)

I *wish* I could do this in CSG, but I would be posting it in 2008(?)
instead of 2005. It's a wings model.

   Thanks for your suggestions.

Hehehe... compare here:

http://www.bergoiata.org/fe/felins/High%20Velocity,%20Cheetah.jpg

If I didn't know any better, I'd say I just found your reference image. ;-)

[I notice that it looks like it's been edited somehow...]

See here:

The cheetah does indeed have a supprisingly thick neck and oddly small head.

Your texturing needs work. (Currently looks like an old sofa.) But the
modelling is quite good. I'd say the elbow on the furthest front leg
looks too rounded. There should also probably be slightly more of a
discontinuity in the spine at the shoulders and hips. Otherwise, not a
bad model!

I ment: the neck is so big and thick that it is even bigger or equal to
head, same as in snake ;)

I assume this is meant to be a cheetah - the fastest animal in the world?
If so:
color scheme - not mottled black/red on green! (black on tan/cream)
See ref pic e.g. http://www.cathouse-fcc.org/gifs-jpegs/zulurun.jpg
face is striped not spotted
ear location?
bring the extremities into frame
The posing is nice and certainly evokes the feeling of speed with the
blurred background pan effect.

Thanks all, for your comments. Very helpful. I think I've improved it a
little.
