You managed to motivate me in a few seconds to check out Inkspace.
Very neat picture!

Exactly what I need. Especially with fonts and splines. I do **everything**
with csg nowadays and some ideas that I have are pretty hard to implement
that way. Additionally, if I want large amounts of detailed objects, POV-Ray
handles mesh2 objects in a more efficient way.

*NICE*. I didn't know Inkscape could export splines to POV, now I'm going
to have to play with that, right after I upgrade my systems to SUSE 10. :-)

->VERY<- cool. As it happened, I had just spent two hours doing b-splines
by hand for an animation when I saw this. No fun. I WILL check it out!

Myself, I'd be interested in seeing the .pov file he used to render the
image - the way he used radiosity there is something I'd like to look more
closely at.
