Iwas experimenting with photones trying to see how far I can push my poor
old PC and the result was quite pleasing. There are about 18 Million
photons here and the PC started to transh to HD.

Any coments would be appreciated.

Nice - looks like some kind of alien crystalline creature.

What kind of machine is it?

Great to see you back on p.b.i.! Did you get ahead with your Taj Mahal
in the meantime?

See you in Khyberspace!

The PC is an old (7Years) A-open p3 800 MHz with 256M ram running windows
2000.

The Taj file is on hold for the moment, since I have too much of programming
work on hand, for the last few months I didn't get a chance to do much work
on POV besides reading the newsgroups.

Still better than my antediluvian rattletrap - an AMD K6-II at 400 Mhz
with 256 megs of RAM running Windoze 98! I still hope of being able to
afford at least an Athlon Thunderbird somewhen this year...

Same with me... I'm pretty occupied with updating Afghanistan webpages
for a German non-profit organization, as well as with my own Afghanistan
project on the web, a friend wants to contribute his etymological
studies on Muslim names...

So at the moment, there is rarely time to proceed with Khyberspace...
just converting a section of a Soviet-made 1:100,000 map of the Kabul
area manually (!) to a 16bit heightfield bitmap, may take about 1,000
hours of work in the end!

But keep up your work on the Taj Mahal! There is almost no Islamic
architecture in the PoV-Ray world... the only example I can remember is
Sander`s Mezquita of Cordoba, long ago in 2000... and my crude attempts
to model some tileworks form Mazar-e Sharif`s Hazrat Ali Mosque in 2001!

See you in Khyberspace!

Yadgar
