After seeing a beautiful sunrise yesterday I thought I'd try to recreate it. 
Learned how to do media from the POV help documents.  I'm sure I could do 
better with more time, but it's a good start I think.

Yeah, it looks decent for the first time around.

I put the media inside a big flat cylinder.  Is that what you meant?

Yes, it was.

Anyway, if you want some advice, I would say that it looks like you went a
little crazy with the density and color_map, and you should try to rely less
on that and more on the lighting for creating a sunset effect.

It's only the lights that have colour (and the sky_sphere obviously).  The 
media is just grey.

No, seriously. It looks good. (Looks like you were trying to model one 
of those sunsets you look at and think "man, NO ONE would believe me if 
I told them it was THIS colour...")
