I was pleased with how this one came out last night. Both the "tent" and the
ship (in most part) were made with dome.inc.

Once again, very good!
I love the background sky. It must have taken ages to get right!
Are using just POV-RAY 3.6 or are you using any extra tools?
(ghostdog_688 whines about his lack of DL ability and wishes he could do
this well on POV-Ray alone).

No, no other tools other than photoshop to adjust the colors and make it
small enough to post on the web. And, yes, I'm using Pov Ray 3.6.

I like this. It has the feeling of the cover of a 50s Sci-Fi book. Add
some craters and rocks, perhaps. Although (I'll sure be glad when the
US election's over) my first thought for a title was "Guantanamo, 2200
-- The War on Terror Continues."

Thanks, Dave... the 50s look is not by accident--I grew up reading the
Winston SF series, Doc Smith, Heinlein juveniles, et al, all of which
impinges on both my published SF and the artwork I play with ;-) ... I even
have a science fiction book imprint of my own now which has a rocketship
logo influenced by the old Winston logo.
