Nothing original here.  I stole the environment from Scott (see his TBOPP thread
earlier this month) and used the dolphin model from 
http://www.flashfire.com/free3Dm.htm.

In both images I generated the photons using Scott's blob creation and then
substituted the dolphin model for a nice (if unrealistic) effect.  The 
first image is the original model in glass (attempting a Swarovski crystal effect) and
the second image uses a mesh that has been smoothed by PoseRay 
and rendered in a silver texture.

Not pushing the envelope but pleasant images anyway.  I will use one as my wallpaper
until I find something better.

Very nice.

In PoseRay you can increase the crease angle to avoid hard edges (as 
visible on the fins). In general as the subdivision is higher the crease 
should approach 180deg.
