Try the cylindrical pattern with a colour_map. It evaluate to 1 at the 
axis, and to 0 at >=1 unit radius. It's aligned along the Y axis, so, 
you need to translate it to the final location.

If you create the cylinder object at the origin and you translate it at
final location AFTER the material identifier you don't need to transform the
density pattern
