Text reads 'Maria-sama ga Rendering'. Actual series is Maria-sama ga
Miteru. Main character Yumi represented in simple form here, with
reflection, so, 'reflective Yumi on checkered plane'. For additional
wa ha factor I'll do the rest of the student council from the series...
eventually.

It's mainly Katakana (except "sama"), isn't it?

With help from omniglot
<http://www.omniglot.com/writing/japanese_katakana.htm> I read:

ma-rya (sama) ga re-n-da-ri-n-gu

Cool... I'm rusty in my katakana skills, and I won't even talk about
Kanji... but great image.
