Hello fellow POVers,

Here is what I made for the current IRTC round. I like the effect, but 
I'm not sure about the format. Plus, it looks a bit bare. I don't know 
if I'll add anything.

Comments and suggestions are (as always) welcome.

I like everything except the texture on the sphere. It's too plastic-like in
my opinion. Also, i'd consider using that same normal pattern as a function
for an isosurface instead of using a sphere primitive.

Yes, I think the sphere is strange. I like more the standard sphere. But the
picture is very good.

I agree with the other comments. The sphere would be better as an isosurface
and not so shiny, contrasting more with the surroundings.
Pehaps you could try to rotate the 'world' a tiny bit so that the horizon
would not be exactly horizontal (around z-axis, if that is the one we are
looking along to). imho it would give some tension to the scene.
