Not exactly the effect I was looking for when composing this image, but 
I thought the result was... interesting.

Oskar,
    No intersections = cool.  Did you do that by hand or using some sort
of algorithm?  I like the colors and the background texture.  Is it some
kind of crackle normal on an isosurface?   Good finishes too.  Also, are
those links meshes or are the apparent segments just an optical
illusion?

Not by hand... a little something I'm working on :-)

All are meshes.  I've never really managed to get my mind around using 
the SDL as a modeling tool.
