Very nice!  I can't figure out how you modelled it .. blobs? And I don't
understand the need for a metal thingy, but...

Might just be my monitor, but it seems like a little bit higher contrast

The fruit's done only with blobs (and 4 spheres for the 'pipins')
The metal thingy was done to look like a strange "nature morte"...

Yes I know but it isn't really simple to make constrast more efficient 
without a bright light_source (the lightning cames principally from the 
bright box above...)
