Here's a head I've been working on for some time (couldn't resist doing a
render on Alex Kluchikovs tiles).

I've put the head source on my web site under a Creative Commons ShareAlike
License in case anyone wants to play with it.
The skin colour, the makeup, (including things like the eyelash length), the
eye colour/rotation etc are all configurable from the scene file.

Looks great and I must also commend you for stating a Creative Commons
License option which expressly states your wishes.  We should all be doing
this with all of our work.
