Back in 1999, I wrote a macro for generating a cobbled street.
I have now rewritten it, to enable it to be traced on a heightfield or an
isosurface. Three patterns are available (see images).
The macro is posted in p.b.u. under subject: Cobbled street.
Enjoy!!

Very nice, I've checked this out and immediately added it to my library,
which is the best compliment I could ever give you.
Thanks!

Hey, just had a thought. You've created a macro for placing blocks into a
surface which is very cool. How about extending your coolness!?
Your could use that same technique to build a mesh that traversed a
landscape, which would create a memory saving alterative and allow you to
apply a "road" like texture to the whole thing!
Just an idea. ( But I really hope you do it, cos your a clever
chap!!!!!!!!!!)

Nice ! Another useful pattern would be the typical Parisian street pattern.

Notice how the stones are all loose and ready to be picked up for rioting,
btw ;-)

Wow, very useful, and very timely. I'll be immediately appropriating it
(with proper attribution, of course!) in one of my scenes.
Thanks!

Thank you!
I posted it just for that reason. Otherwise, I would have kept it to my
selfish self! ;-)

Yes!!! You did it! I have been thinking (of and on) on this but had not
found the time to do it. So... How did 'you' do it?
