Stunning. Apart from the black area thing that you already know about, what
about enlarging the picture a bit more so that there is more spacing between
the glass and the picture boundaries?

I'm leaving on travel next week, so I won't be using
my computer, I may try it with a trace level of 10

Nice one.

Why don't you try this with my domino macros?

You may be able to tell me... What is
the use of the nail in the middle of the
domino ?

Your dominoes look like Mah Jongg tiles.
Why are they that thick ?

I suppose you did the same as I did: grabbed
your box of dominoes, a galliper, and reproduced
the same dimensions in your model ?

Best,

    S.

To make them shuffle more easily (without flipping).

I've been looking at your dominoes
for a while...

I wonder how they would look with
subsurface scattering...

Got Source ?

an spanish version of the source with examples is in
povray.international.binaries , just waiting to translate into english...

respect to the nail is a trace from when the tiles were made from wood and
bone

and yes, i've reproduced the same dimensions of the game that is used in
spain

(btw we only use double six, being double nine unknown here)

pd. subsurface scattering, radiosity or focal blur in a k-6 2 with 128 MB
Ram?
it's not for me, thanks. I'm only for the code!

B. Gimeno
(excuse me for my english, please)

In Cuba, where I spent some time this winter, double-nine domino
is the only one they play. It's a big thing there.

ah ah ah. I understand. I'll probably try some. I have a 2GHz machine+1G
of ram. Should be enough. Although, for photons, it's pretty thight. The
glass domino scene required 700 M of ram. And it's nothing fancy yet.

Best,

    S.
