Very nice!

Learning Blender is going to be my summer project. Either that, or
Wings3D, or both.

I suggest both. They complement each other very well (Wings3D for
polygon/subsurface modelling, and Blender for other modelling techniques,
animation and even rendering).

Well, I haven't tried Blender much, but I would say explore Wings
for all it's worth, for sure.

At the end, when you've completed everything, it's a nice
experience.

I'm all for Wings3D - great modeller - but Blender has an awfully cluttered
interface, just like most other 3D applications...

Very nice. The lighting makes the edges hard to find, so I had to look
for a few seconds before I could really see the dragoon's (dragoon is a
dragon?) shape.
