Here's the picture of the parameteric I was posting about in p.g, It appears
that this object, no matter how hard I tried, would not work as a true
"parameteric", so I used the mesh generating include (param.inc) file for
the object.

Hmm ;) That was __sort of__ what I was after, I think. I'm working on
replicating this sculpture in POV-Ray ( see attachment )... Was it this
sculpture you were referencing?.
Yes, this is the cover from my old calculus book.

Thanks :)
The coloring was actually deceptively simple. Many times I prefer gradient
skies, as opposed to clouds, when doing a quick render. The gradient was
just going from a somewhat cyan color, to saturated blue, to dark blue
(0.25), makes nice reflections w/o messing with getting clouds looking _just
right_
