Well that answers one question I had.

As a first reaction, the flowers don't bother me at all but it's your
picture. You have to make it as real as you need it to be. That whole
recreating-the-density of-experience thing again. The sense of rocks
emerging from turf is remarkable, and the sense of variety in the flora
is convincing. Beautiful job on the isosurface rocks. I remember when
you announced your intention to pursue that. It's notable to me that
you insisted on the particularity of the type of rock. It announces
your intent to get a high degree of verisimilitude but also they might
not conform to everyone's general idea of rockiness. Their rich brown
color is beautiful and the strong undershadow they create in the
composition is pleasing.

Jim

Well I've bee n on these groups all day and I really intended to give
you a quick response then get some damned work done myself. But I
didn't want to simply gush. But the picture stopped me before I could
log out. It really is a remarkable achievement, Mick. It's not just
about isosurface rocks. The various components resonate with each
other. Lighting, color harmony, textures and tactility. Ommmm!

WOW!! Looks GREAT and colourful! I'm very impressed.

Just the background you say -- for what?

Maybe you could give us some details about lighting technique and
render-time. I would be very interested. The result is not photo-realistic
but it's very beautiful and has an "artistic" feel. It doesn't lack anything
in that regard.

Hugo

I'd just like to add that it's breath taking. This is something I'd like to
see hanging on my wall... Will you make a poster?

Hugo

Well, it's really impressive.
The color seem a bit strange, too vivid I guess.
And the grass a bit too sharp, but it's overall very real-like.
I'm just trying to do a few remarks, but well, this scene really rocks
!!!! :-)

I like this image very much Mick.

I'm impressed by your different isosurface rocks
and the moods that you manage show in your images.

Btw.: Is this place anywere close to where we went
when you arranged the UK gathereing ?

Anyway - This image makes me want to go photo-
graphing in the peak district again !
