Nothing missing. What you see is a piece of aluminium slid over the first
tube for shielding.

Great amp!

One tiny little thing, the power tubes somehowe look a bit odd to me. If
it's the KT88 I'd expect the body to be a bit "fatter". If it's a modern
6550 it could be a bit rounder at the top. If it's a NOS 6550 it could be
a bit fatter at the bottom. Although I have to admit that I haven't played
with these tubes for some years now. Currently using an amp with 6C33's.

I'd like to see it switched on, glowing in the dark :)

inside top of it looks threaded, which looked a bit strange

fair enough, looking again you can just see the end of the pre-amp( i
assume) valve

There could/should be a spring in there to push the valve down in its
socket.

Wow, it is impressive. I think the wood is a bit unrealistic. Improving the
table's texture would make the image much more realistic.

Dunno! always the same mistake I guess: I began with a single EL34 and I am
spending hours trying to make the McIntosh work.

<DROOOL!!!>

In this case I'd probably say "legendary" instead of "mythical"... I could
never afford one, but I've managed to squeeze an extra 35 years out of an
ancient Harmon-Kardon that someone thought was dead back in 1969.

Now all you need is to make it scratch-n-sniff ;-)

Well I have to admit I never saw one of these tubes, I have only some pics
of the 275 but I'll take attention to your advice for future renders thanks

2008 ;-)

Hmmm... Maybe the server does not accept direct
access of the images.

The image can be found to the right in the second
row at this page:

Thank you for testing this.

I don't understand what is happening.
- Everything seems ok from here.

Can anyone could try to ping 194.63.250.45 for me ?
(And maybe someone could try a traceroute too ?)

In the meantime I have copied my website to here:

Just to be sure... this isn't a ray traced image is it? If it is my jaw is
on the floor.

Its a very nice image however it came to be.

Thanks for going to the trouble that you did to be able to share it.

Hehe - no it's just a photo I took of Ingo's valve
amplifier when I visited him in Holland a year ago.
