Cool knots!

Also, on this first one, the textures of the "ropes" look a little fuzzy.
What type of texture is that? I could find some good uses for it.

This texture (by Fabien Mosen) uses the "aoi" pigment map of mlpov (I'm not
sure but it might be possible to do something similar with the slope pattern
in official pov)

pigment {
  aoi
  color_map {[0 coul*.7][.2 coul*1][.5 coul+<.5,.5,.5>][1 coul] } }
finish { ambient 0 diffuse .8 }
normal { wrinkles .25 }

Great images, and another fantastic link and yet more "essential"
software to learn how to use.

Thanks!

(Now WHEN will I find the time to work on all of this stuff?????)

Hi

Lovely stuff. I like these.

I also had a lot of fun with knots from this site and posted some
images here in p.b.i

Hi Mael,

I really like those complex knots. The trefoil knot can be represented as
three simple equations, did you worked with those kind of mathematical
expression to build your model?
Those are the picture of that sculpture I was working on. It's about the
knots.

How did you get the edge effect? pigment {slope} with the view vector?
