I had a scene file a long time ago that rendered some diamonds somewhere
along the line of disk crashes I lost it, but what I did find was a
half-completed render of it, if anybody recognizes it or knows how it
was most likely made, some help would most greatly be appreciated.

     I'm sorry, but I don't recognise that image. It's good, and I'd
like to see the full version. If it's any help at all, the attached
image was made using GemCad for Windows (http://www.gemcad.com/).

I found out what it is, it was made by Marc Champagne. See: "Mika
Diamond" in p.t.scene-files

Eheh, they're nice diamonds, if they only wouldn't take so long to render :D

If diamonds wouldn't take forever to be created by Mother Nature...

I think the render time for creating a diamond is faster than how the
nature does it ;)

I know little about industrial diamonds.. they have some way of creating
"fake"-diamonds to be used in drills etc. Dunno how long they take to
create/"render" :)

Hello all!

Since there is not a lot of post here these days, and that someone ask for a
full render... Enjoy Mika's diamonds rendered @ 1600X1200 AA3. It took 6.5
Hours on my P4-2.7Ghz-1GBRDRAM.

Ciao!

Mart
