This scene was just something simple i set up using some gears i made for a
more complex scene i'm working on. The gears aren't supposed to look like
"real life" gears, just stylistically speaking they needed to look like
gears. This image took way too long to render on my 800mhz celeron laptop,
using radiosity. Although it looks a lot better than without radiosity in a
few places. Initially that white thing in back was reflective, but it made
the scene look confusing. The metals with the exception of the floor, use a
very small combination of normals to try to emulate a blurred reflection.
although you cannot tell in most places. In the scene i'm working on using
these gears, they will all mostly be about the size of the smaller and
medium sized gears here. So only now did i realize that the spokes on one of
the foreground gears are not connected to the metal.

I had made several ugly macros that make and decorate the gears, to make it
all a bit easier. I probably won't work any more on this little side scene,
although feedback about the gears would be considered :)

rendered in a 16:9 ratio for kicks.
