So, I have decided to try to make a "real" scene, as time permits. So I
needed to learn about uv-mapping and bicubic patches (thanks to all in
p.a-u). Here is the first attempt. I don't think I fully understand them
yet, but I am getting there!

This is a patch done by hand (the only way for me to learn this) with an NMR
(nuclear magnetic resonance) spectra uv mapped to it. The spectra is
actually from my thesis. Can anybody guess at the structure?

Here is a hint (for the chemists out there): it has 4 nitrogens and 2
bromines.

anyway, uv mapping is a fun (but complicated) feature.
