Everything that can be copyrighted will be so at the moment of
creation.

Anyway, I can take a photograph or make a painting of a publicly
displayed work of art. No need to consult the copyright holder.
I just can't sell it if the main focus is the original work.

This can also be considered scientific/educational use because
the main focus is the filter effect rather than the original
image.

      You can Kari. You are allowed to sell ONE item only. As long a you don't
have a RUN on any copyrighted item commercially, you can sell it to whomever you
want.
